  THE WOODS HATE YOU is a retro rage platformer set in a hostile,

  sentient forest that will do everything in its power to stop you

  from reaching the other side. Every tree is an enemy. Every step

  forward is earned in blood.

  🌲 ENEMIES

  Seven distinct killer tree types, each with their own attack patterns:

  • Pendulum Tree — swings a spiked ball on a rope toward you

  • Sniper Tree — locks on and fires homing acorns with a warning phase

  • Root Tree — erupts ground spikes with visual warnings before striking

  • Dropper Tree — tracks your position and drops pinecones from above

  • Fake Tree — pretends to be friendly, then slams you when you get close

  • Spread Tree — unleashes a three-way acorn fan

  • Gust Zone — blasts you with wind at the worst possible moment
